What is a Marketing Funnel

Apr 6

What is a Marketing funnel? Why is it important for every marketer to have one?

It's a strategy for marketing designed to attract potential customers to your site. It's a sales process that allows someone to browse your website to find information that can solve their issue. But, with the help of certain tools, you will be able to establish an ongoing relationship with every visitor.

This will allow you to better understand the needs of each visitor. This will help you to offer the most accurate information to all your visitors. If you can build trust with a potential customer, they are more likely to purchase your products. The visitor becomes a customer.

Many customers turn into loyal customers over time, and will be more likely to buy every product on your website. A marketing funnel consists of all the steps needed to convert a regular visitor to your website to become a loyal customer and buy every product that you sell.

For any internet marketer, this is the ultimate goal. A properly created funnel can accomplish this quickly.

Your efforts to market are capturing people's attention, and drawing them to your funnel. The funnel is opened when they fill in the forms that you have on your PERSONAL lead capture page. Since no one is going to opt in to your lead capture page, I used the word "personal". They want to be leaders, not an organization.

The lead capture page is where they enter the funnel. When they click the "Sign up now" or the "Enter here" buttons, they will be in a position to enter a different world of network marketing.

The best part is that they are qualifying themselves to do it. It's their decision. You've not sold them anything, other than yourself as a leader, a mentor, and as someone that can show them how to increase leads and bring more cash into their business.

This is how a standard funnel works.

On the "front-end" you can offer a free offer to attract and qualify people who may be interested in purchasing your products later on in the sales funnel. To receive your free product you must join (also known as opt-in) and give your name and email address. In turn you'll include them on your email list.

Now, you have these contacts on your email and you can send them related offers that might interest them.

After sign-up for the free offer you'll be directed to a page with a low price offer or what's called trip wire offers. This is the moment they are moving to the "back end" of your funnel.

If they buy the low-priced offer, they'll be added to a second related offer at an even more expensive price (normally known as"upsell") "upsell"). Also, the buyer will be taken to the next product when they purchase the same offer at a higher cost. This can go on and on...
