The Management of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) wishes to reassure the general public, that in keeping with the agency’s duty to provide uninterrupted safe, effective, efficient and economic air navigation services in Nigeria, air traffic services were uninterrupted on Saturday the 16th of February 2019.

To ensure this, NAMA followed the directive of the Honorable Minister of State Aviation Sen. Hadi Sirika, when it earlier ensured 24-hour operation at all Nigerian airports on Friday the 15th of February 2019, in an effort to ease the displacement of INEC equipment nationwide.

Similarly, NAMA wishes to guarantee that the Nigerian airspace shall remain accessible to all airspace users before, during and after the rescheduled 2019 general elections. To this effect, the agency has positioned possible and befitting measures to safeguard safe flight operations within the period, alongside possible extension of working hours in any domestic airport, if necessary.

Airline operators, the travelling public and other service providers depending on the agency’s services are therefore encouraged to continue their businesses as usual.
